I am a vegetarian but fish oil pills are my one exception. I learned in class how beneficial these are to your life, and how omega-3 flaxseed, or other non-fish omega-3, don't compare. I guess the body doesn't digest it nearly as efficiently. Anyway, taking about 900mg of fish oil a day can reduce some of your cardiovascular risks by 40%!! It also makes your hair look beautiful and helps with your skin. A healthy life starts INSIDE. Take care of it.
2. Pamper Yourself
Well, duh. But seriously. You don't realize how much tension your body holds sometimes until you do something. Get a massage and for an hour, someone else gets to deal with all the "kinks" in your life. If massages aren't you thing, get a facial. Do it at home or get it done. Give yourself a manicure. Just let yourself feel like number one for a bit.
3. Stop eating junk food
Junk food is full of bad bad things that our body just can't deal with - and for some reason instead of rejecting the food, we begin to think that we CRAVE it and need it. But when you stop eating junk food and start eating healthy, you will realize that it is totally mind over matter and you dont actually want those bad foods. Listen to your body, it knows.
4. Make Jokes
Especially jokes at your own expense. I know this sounds a little counter-productive, buuuuut, it actually tends to really brighten the mood of those around you - which has the effect of brightening your own mood. I made dumb blonde jokes all the time, or I just try to make a boring situation fun. Seriously, it makes whatever environment you are in a happier environment - which is rejuvenating and amazing.
